The Applied Microsystems temperature buoy provides the ability to implement real-time water temperature monitoring in hard to monitor locations.
The unit is solar powered and comes with three telemetry options: radio (2.4 gHz or 900 mHz), GSM, or satellite.
Signals may be sent to a base station to warn appropriate authorities of critical temperature increases in outflows of water.
