Spawar Systems Centre (SSC) San Diego has granted Applied Microsystems an exclusive license to commercialize the Spill-Sentry™ oil-on-water detection technology. SSC is responsible for the development of the technology to collect, transmit, process, display and, most critically, manage information essential to naval operations. The Center develops the capabilities that allow decision-makers of the Navy, and increasingly of the joint services, to protect their own forces and carry out their operational missions.

The Center for Ocean Technology (COT) at the University of South Florida has granted Applied Microsystems an exclusive license to bring to market their underwater mass spectrometer. COT, based in St. Petersburg, Florida provides engineering support and expertise to the University of South Florida's (USF) Marine Science College.
