Victoria, BC, February 21, 2008- Applied Microsystems Ltd. (AML) is pleased to introduce SV·Xchange™ - the industry’s only field-swappable sound velocity sensor. Any SV•Xchange™ sensor can be connected to any Xchange enabled instrument -
when you want, where you want - without compromising calibration accuracy.
SV·Xchange™ is an exchangeable, field-swappable SV sensor. Sensors can be placed on new AML Plus v2 or Micro instruments. Field-swappability eliminates the need for entire instruments to be returned for recalibration. Reduced instrument downtime adds convenience and flexibility while eliminating unnecessary shipping costs reduces the cost-of-ownership.
In addition to being field-swappable, SV·Xchange™ is more accurate and more precise than existing sound velocity sensors. The SV·Xchange™ also offers better results in high turbidity environments. SV·Xchange™ comes standard with SeaCast, AML's new application software that does not require instrument configuration files. Key software features include instrument set-up and configuration, data review, graphing and generation and management of instrument calibration certificates.
